Built across almost a decade inside UK legal and private equity — rescuing and launching firms, and sitting in the COO and CEO seats. Taha Capital turns that operating track record into advisory, data and voice for the firms and funds reshaping the sector.
Most commentary on UK legal is written by people who have never run a law firm. Taha Capital is the opposite. Built by Adil Taha over almost a decade across the legal sector and private equity, its authority is earned operationally — through turnarounds, launches and leadership at the top of the profession.
That track record is now institutionalised into three connected lines that feed one another. Apex Data produces the preeminent analysis of the market. The Debrief carries that work to the people who move the industry. And Taha & Co converts the standing into advisory and investment mandates for the firms and funds that need an operator, not a theorist, in the room.
"Built by the person. Now built into a platform — the top voice, data and analysis in UK legal."
An advisory and investment boutique for UK law firms and the investors backing them. Taha & Co partners with firms and funds across the full arc of a transaction or transformation — from the boardroom strategy down to the work of getting it done — and invests alongside where the thesis is right. Where other advisers offer frameworks, Taha & Co offers partners who have already done it: rescued the failing firm, launched the new one, sat in the COO, CEO and Chairman seats. Counsel and capital that has carried the risk it advises on.
Strategy, equity and partnership structures, investment readiness, and the deal — for firms and the funds investing in them.
Hands-on operational leadership through turnaround, integration and growth. Not a report handed over — the work delivered alongside you.
Board-level stewardship as Non-Executive Director or Chairman, bringing operator-tested judgement to the firms and portfolio companies that need it.
A data and insights business, and the preeminent source of commentary, reporting, data and findings in the UK legal market. Apex Data publishes the definitive papers, datasets and breakdowns — at both firm and market level — drawn from proprietary commercial data and a complete, enriched picture of trading firms across England & Wales. It is the reference point a serious investor, dealmaker or managing partner reaches for first: rigorous, original, and impossible to source anywhere else.
The voice of the platform — Adil Taha in conversation with the people who move UK legal and private equity. Through podcasts and roundtables with industry leaders, The Debrief unpacks the deals, departures and shifts defining the market, and ranges into adjacent professional services, the wider business world, and the occasional turn to sport. It is where the analysis becomes a discussion, and where the sector comes to hear what the leading operators actually think. Not press-release commentary; the real read.
No other voice in UK legal owns all three. Proprietary data builds authority; authority commands the conversation; the conversation generates the relationships and mandates that fund the next wave of data.
Adil has spent almost a decade working within UK legal and private equity — as COO and CEO inside commercial law firms, and as the operator who has rescued failing firms, launched new ones, and sold practices to private equity. He has become the leading voice when it comes to market and firm commentary and producing the preeminent data and insights in the sector.
Published and featured across the Financial Times, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Lawyer and Legal Futures, he founded Taha Capital to institutionalise that operating experience into the definitive data, analysis and strategic and investment counsel for both law firms and investors.
Peter began his career as a marine lawyer and rose to become Managing Partner and then the first ever Chief Executive of Hill Dickinson, one of the UK's leading commercial law firms. He led the firm at its most senior level for almost two decades, steering it through its strongest period of growth — major acquisitions, international expansion, and a near-doubling of turnover — before stepping down as CEO in 2024.
His perspective — built running a major practice through mergers, restructuring and sustained expansion — anchors Taha Capital's advisory work. It ensures the counsel is grounded in the realities of leading and growing a firm, not just observing one.
For advisory mandates, data partnerships, or a conversation on the business of UK legal — Taha Capital works with the firms and funds reshaping the sector.
